I oversee the safety- and health-related home repairs made to the homes of the participants in our Owner-Occupied Repair Program. For over 27 years, I have worked in land development, and residential home construction, which included cost estimating, Green Building, and Energy Star-rated affordable housing. I enjoy hunting, fishing, and working on my ranch. I like to compete in barbeque competitions and volunteer at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo. I have a bachelor’s degree from St. Mary’s University and an associate degree in Residential construction from St. Phillip’s College. My grandparents’ homes were a profound example for me. Their houses needed repairs and maintenance and, as a child, I remember wishing there was someone to help them. In my role, it is rewarding to help people who may not understand the construction process and the preventative value of home maintenance.
